Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approves renaming Jewar airport after PM Narendra Modi

<p>Lucknow: The <a href="https://deccanherald.com/tags/uttar-pradesh">Uttar Pradesh</a> government on Friday decided to rename Jewar airport in Greater Noida as <a href="https://deccanherald.com/tags/narendra-modi">Narendra Modi</a> International Airport.</p><p>The state Cabinet approved the proposal at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It also adopted a resolution praising Modi's leadership and contribution on the completion of 25 years of public service.</p><p>“Jewar airport will get a new identity after being renamed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Adityanath told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.</p>.'Kab tak chappan': Congress takes a dig at PM Modi. <p>The Chief Minister referred to Modi's deep ties with Uttar Pradesh and said his journey, which began in Kashi, had become the basis for the state's development. Kashi is an old name for Varanasi, which Modi represents in the Lok Sabha.</p><p>Adityanath also praised Modi's vision and working style, saying Uttar Pradesh had made significant progress in every field under his guidance.</p>
